Job Title: Finance & Insurance Manager
Reports to: GSM and/or General Manager
Pay Rate/Salary Range: Salary plus commission
Position Type: Full-Time
Job Purpose:
The Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager is responsible for producing additional revenue for the dealership by selling finance, insurance, extended warranties and protection products to new and used car customers, while maximizing gross profit and achieving a high level of customer satisfaction. Throughout the process, the F&I Manager must practice strict legal compliance and ethical behavior.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
PERSONAL WORK/TIME MANAGEMENT
- Establish personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devise strategies to meet those goals.
- Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
- Report to the General Manager and/or GSM regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews and analyses.
- Keep abreast of all financing program options, credit insurance, extended warranties, anti-theft devices, appearance protection kits and how they benefit customers.
- Provide the sales team with information and training on finance and lease program options and the features and benefits of all F&I menu products.
- Understand and comply with all federal, state and local laws which govern retail auto sales.
- Attend sales meetings and training sessions as scheduled; maintain all required certifications.
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Dealership’s Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, lenders and vendors.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards.
CUSTOMER CONSULTATIONS
- Establish a rapport with the customer through a consultative discussion of their needs and expectations.
- Review the figures that were presented by the sales person/manager and use them when closing the deal.
- Review the customer’s credit application/credit report and discuss the finance options available to meet their needs.
- Review specialty finance options for credit-challenged customers.
- Consult with the customer in the selection of the proper financing terms and insurance products.
- Utilize a menu to present available accessories, aftermarket products and extended warranties to the customer, counseling them based on discussions during the initial customer interview.
- Provide customers with a thorough explanation of manufacturer and dealership warranty service procedures and policies.
DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE
- Prepare delivery documentation, including preparation of loan/lease documents, DMV paperwork, insurance and other legal forms required by state and federal regulatory bodies.
- Disclose to the customer all aspects of the sale, including finance charges, interest rates and related fees.
- Submit proper paperwork and obtain approval from finance partners on all finance deals.
- Double-check all paperwork for errors and omissions, including correct names, addresses, VIN, title, lien information, taxes, insurance, etc.
MANAGING LENDER AND VENDOR RELATIONSHIPS
- Work with the dealer principal and/or GM and GSM to determine which finance, insurance, protection and aftermarket products are best for the dealership and its customers.
- Maintain constant communications with lenders and vendors to improve processes, prevent problems and maximize productivity.
- Seek new lending partners and maintain good working relationships to secure competitive interest rates and financing programs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- A college degree or equivalent experience in consumer finance is preferred.
- Two years of automotive sales experience is preferred.
- A strong background in business, mathematics, marketing and computers is also useful.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal communications.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong computer and negotiation skills

Job Title: Lot Attendant
Reports to: Detail Manager
Pay Rate/Salary Range: Hourly
Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Job Purpose:
Service Lot Manager is responsible for the moving of service customer vehicles to ensure smooth and efficient traffic flow through the facility and increase customer convenience while maintaining an orderly service parking area.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited:
- Inspect vehicles to detect damage.
- Record the description of damages.
- Park vehicles in assigned areas.
- Assign tag numbers to cars, catalog and store keys.
- Assist technicians when needed per Service Manager.
- Helping customers locate cars when they come to pick them up.
- During winter months keep doorways shoveled, sanded and cleared. Also clear snow and ice from cars in lot.
- Transport customer as requested by Service Managers.
- Duties may also include picking up and delivering of parts, personnel, and paperwork as required by other dealership depts.
- Perform tasks as directed by Sales and Service Manager (i.e., washing customers’ cars, emptying trash containers or any other task that will assist in the smooth flow of the company).
- Responsible for abiding by safety rules, regulations, and procedures enforced by management.
Qualification Requirements:
- Good driving record.
- Good judgment.

Conduct one self and dress properly in a manner that brings credibility to the dealership.

Job Title:Mechanical Technician
Reports to: Service Director and/or Service Manager
Pay Rate/Salary Range: Flat Rate
Position Type: Full-Time
Job Purpose:
A mechanical technician is responsible for the actual service and / or repair of vehicles assigned to him by service management or their designated representatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Properly complete the service and / or repairs for which the technician is trained as assigned by management or their designated representative.
- Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts. Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by customer.
- Consult with service advisor about additional work needed, if not work will not be completed within specified time period.
- Document work performed. Complete CCR in a clear concise format that complies with state law. Road test vehicles when required.
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
- Maintain an inventory of normal mechanical tools to include screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels and punches, and other tools needed to perform the work for which the technician is trained and not normally inventoried by the service department as "special tools".
- Properly use the special tools and equipment provided by the service department.
- Participate in and utilize to the best of one's abilities, technical training as assigned by management and factory certifications.
- Produce quality work that evidences pride of workmanship.
- Maintain the workspace assigned in an organized and cleanly manner.
- Ensure that customer’s vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced.
- Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policy.
- Arrive at work, take breaks, and depart work at the time designated by management.
- Show common courtesy to all customers and dealership personnel.
- Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management.
- Review the technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by management.
- Provide the administrative assistance necessary to complete warranty repair orders and other tasks assigned by management.
- Use shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical manner.
- Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.
- Report to management any situation or condition that would jeopardize the safety, welfare, integrity of the dealership, its customers, or employees.

Job Title: Automotive Sales Consultant

Position Type: Full-Time
Job Purpose:
The automotive sales consultant is responsible for selling new and pre-owned vehicles at dealership volume, gross profit and customer satisfaction standards. This position includes four broad areas of activity: personal work/time management, prospecting, selling and follow-up.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Establish personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devise strategies to meet those goals.
- Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
- Report to the Sales Management Team regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews and analyses.
- Keep abreast of incoming inventory, product features, accessories, etc., and how they benefit customers.
- Understand and comply with federal, state and local laws which govern retail auto sales.
- Attend sales meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
- Demonstrate behavior consistent with the Dealership’s vision, mission and values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards.
Prospecting:
- Update/maintain customer relations management system (CRM) information from phone calls, internet leads, mail campaigns, referrals and customer follow-up.
- Keep the dealership in the minds of your prospects and customers on an on-going basis.
Selling:
- Make your customer feel welcome and identify the purpose of their visit.
- Ask questions and actively listen to learn as much as you can about your customer’s wants and needs so that you show them the most appropriate model or models and can know how to personalize the vehicle’s features.
- Present the right vehicle, the right features and the right amount of information and do so in a way that is organized and based on the customer’s needs.
- Create mental ownership during the test drive; that is, have the customer imagine and feel what it would be like to own the vehicle they are driving.
- Clearly present the information and numbers associated with financing the vehicle.
- Present and finalize the terms and options the customer has for taking ownership of the vehicle.
- Use any available wait time to introduce customer to the website, introduce them to the service department and schedule their first service appointment.
- Work with the service and detail departments to ensure that the vehicle is prepped as expected and on schedule; conduct a final inspection prior to delivery.
- Deliver vehicle using owner’s manual by presenting the right amount of information in the right amount of time.
Follow Up:
- Make follow up call(s) to customer regarding “we-owe” status, or to answer questions and to make sure they are completely satisfied.
- Call customer to remind them of their first service appointment and ask for referrals.
- Utilize the CRM system to maintain customer relationships that encourage repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
